A private driver will wait for you at the cruise dock in Ancona.
The tour begins with a visit to a local wine cellar in Morro D’Alba in an estate with 120 hectares, of wich 53 are vineyards. They are comprised mainly of indigenous varietals of Lacrima and Verdicchio which are between 10 and 35 years old. After a guided visit through the vineyards and inside one of Le Marche’s oldest wine cellars still in existence, you will be delighted with a local products and wine tasting.
Enjoy the absolutely fabulous views of the rolling hills of Le Marche while you are being driven to Corinaldo, a village belonging to the "Most beautiful villages in Italy" and that is among European Destinations of Excellence. It is a lovely fortified hill town, that boasts the best-preserved 15th century defensive walls in Le Marche, surrounded by towers, gates and polygonal ramparts.
Your driver will then take you to Mondavio, a beautifully preserved, red-brick medieval hill town located on top of a hill with views of the Adriatic sea and Apennines.
Here you will have the chance to visit the historical craft shop where the pecorino cheese is produced inside a tuff cave, followed by a cheese and local products tasting.
While in Italy…do it the Italian style…it’s time for a SIESTA! Sit down comfortably and take a nap while you are driven back to the cruise dock in Ancona. Or you could just relax and enjoy the amazing landscape of an authentic Italian region while dreaming of coming back!
